Save the Unsaved

Saving children from extreme poverty and offering them a hopeful future.

Project Description

In India many children under the age of 5 die. This is partly due to poor hygiene, the caste system and lack of clean drinking water. People live close together in small huts and garbage is thrown on the street. The result is often that children become ill, have diarrhea and cannot see a doctor due to a lack of financial resources and there is no money for medication.

What does the day look like:

The day begins early: from five to six in the morning, the children gather for a communal morning prayer. Afterward, they wash and dress, after which they have a communal breakfast at seven o'clock. Between eight and nine, there is time for studying and preparing for the school day. Subsequently, the children attend school until twelve o'clock.

At twelve o'clock, they have a one-hour lunch break, after which classes resume at one o'clock and continue until four in the afternoon. After school, there is time for relaxation and playing together. At the end of the afternoon, all the children gather again for a communal prayer, followed by dinner.

From eight to nine o'clock, there is still time to do homework. After that, the day is over, and the children go to bed so they can start a new day rested.

Project information:

The project in India is located in Tenali. It is an orphanage where approximately 60 children currently live. The orphanage was founded in 2000 by Pastor Abraham Kuchipudi, founder of Save the Unsaved Ministries; a ministry focused on reaching the lost in India. In 2000, he started by taking in four children, but the number quickly grew. The goal of the home is to give the children a safe place to live, where they receive healing and restoration, and can flourish into strong, self-sufficient individuals, rooted in the love of Jesus.

Additionally, there is a branch in Chirala, where children who lost their parents or became orphans after the 2004 tsunami are housed. This project is now fully integrated into the village and offers a safe environment for children living in extreme circumstances.

The support provides children with daily food, education and school supplies, housing, and medical care, so that they have a hopeful future outlook and can achieve their dreams.
