Project Description

Hope4Hope is located in Mombasa, Kenya. It officially started in 2010 for the children of Likoni village. Due to poverty, the children could not go to school and had to work in the stone quarries. Project leader Reginold Odhiambo started a football project to engage the children and give them a purpose. Currently, this has been expanded to include a school project, a food project, a dance and music project, a children's center, and a youth center.

Education - a child who can go to school gains confidence for the future

What does the day look like:

The children go to school from Monday to Friday. They wake up at 6 AM, get ready for school, and then have breakfast. Lunch consists of rice or beans with vegetables and an egg. Twice a week, they have chapatti, which is a delicacy in Kenya. School finishes at 4:45 PM, and they return home to participate in the football or dance project. The older children attend boarding school, which is mandatory in Kenya. Your sponsorship provides education, food, and shelter.

Project information:

The center is a safe and familiar place for many children where they feel loved, seen, and valued. Together with their friends, they receive guidance and space to discover and develop their talents.

In Kenya, the gap between rich and poor is significant, sometimes leading young people into crime or addiction. Hope4Hope aims to show them that there is hope and that they can use their talents in a positive way.

Thanks to sponsorship, the children receive food, education, school supplies, medical care, and guidance so they can build a hopeful future and achieve their dreams.
