In 2010, Peace arrived at the Iris Children's Village as a newborn baby after her mother passed away during childbirth. Her father was left alone with six other children and was unable to care for a newborn. There was also no one within the family who could take on this responsibility. At the children's village, Peace received the love, safety, and care she desperately needed.
