school uniform and shoes👞

In Uganda, children are required to wear a school uniform and neat shoes to school. They also need a backpack to carry their school supplies. For the Iris Ministries project, it is a major financial challenge every year to purchase these basic necessities for all the children.

One of the most important investments within the Held project is education. Every year, we do everything we can to ensure that all children attend school so they can build a hopeful future. In addition to tuition, there are also practical costs that are often overlooked.

This represents a significant annual expense for the project. Approximately €5,000 is spent each year on shoes and backpacks alone to ensure that all children are well-prepared for school.

With just €50, a child can be provided with good shoes and a sturdy school bag, so that he or she can go to school.

Since Carolyn cares for more than 100 children, every contribution is invaluable. Together, we can ensure that no child has to stay home because they lack the basics.

Will you help send a child to school?
