The need in Myanmar is great. Children are growing up in insecurity, scarcity, and uncertainty. Together, we can bring hope where it is so desperately needed.
The situation in Myanmar is currently anything but safe. Since the regime took power in 2021, the population has lost a great deal: freedom, peace, and security have become scarce. Going out onto the streets is often dangerous and only permitted when strictly necessary. Additionally, food is scarce, making survival a daily challenge. In 2025, the country was also hit by a severe earthquake, making life even more difficult for many families.
The project we support in Myanmar is doing everything it can to provide the best possible care for children. Most of the care and education takes place within the children's center: lessons are taught, meals are prepared, and children have a safe place here. Only older students are allowed out on the streets, for example, to help other people in need.
Right now, extra help is urgently needed: there's a shortage of gas for cooking, good food like vegetables and meat is extremely expensive, and the building sustained damage from the earthquake.
