2018 was a special year for Project Held. After we had a turbulent year in 2017 with trial and error, 2018 has turned out to be a year of promises. God has provided growth, prosperity in the projects and more vision and direction. Project Held is a sponsorship program where sponsors provide financial support on a monthly basis. In addition to this monthly support, we saw an increase in individual donations in 2018, which enabled us to support the projects extra. In addition to financial support, Project Held visited various projects in 2018. During these trips, we were able to invest with a team of travelers in the lives of the children and encourage the employees of the various projects. In addition, we were able to evangelize with the local population.

The following mission trips from Project Held took place in 2018: Kosovo April 2018
Kosovo August 2018
Pioneers trip SA August 2018

Uganda October 2018

In 2018 Project Held attended the following events: Project Held day House of Heroes March 2018
Presence conference: May 2018
Mission Possible: October 2018

The loyalty of the sponsors has more than encouraged us and showed that God is faithful.

  • In 2018, Project Held adjusted and changed its corporate identity. It was in need of renewal, especially since it had hardly been altered since the very beginning of Project Held. The result is a great, fresh, and catchy style. Additionally, the Project Held logo has also been given a rejuvenating look.
  • Project Held has partnered with two new special projects; we will be supporting these children with Project Held. The projects are Thsega in South Africa and hope4hope in Kenya. Extensive discussions have been held with both projects, and it has been decided to enter into this partnership. Several children are already being supported in these projects at this time.
  • In addition to child sponsorship, Project Held is seeing an increase in one-off donations to support projects and project-specific donations. In 2018, this included aid for notebooks in India, personal assistance to widows in Kosovo, and financial support for a church in Kosovo. Donations received for these individual projects in 2018 that could not be spent were reserved for 2019.
  • Project Held sees a change and a “new” field where not only sponsors but also various stakeholders want to contribute more to the children's homes themselves. This is particularly due to the trips, which create more involvement. Travelers give

education, physical help and attention to the children, so that the demand from our projects to come and visit them is increasing. The remaining funds from the trips in 2018 are reserved for 2019.
