Project Held took care of more than 500 children in 2016. These children now live in a safe, warm environment, have enough food and drink every day, go to school and build their future and identity.
In addition, Project Held was also able to positively complete the following actions: Completed projects within Projecten Held 2016:
- (April 2016) Baan Zion in Thailand: Thanks to donations from sponsors and stakeholders, internet has been installed to the home in Changrai worth € 2500,-
- (May 2016) A party of 10 people, including 3 teenagers, visited Baan Zion in Thailand. During this trip, the team has been able to encourage, bless, pray together, worship God together with worship and play ball games and other fun activities together. During the trip, 3 girls were also collected and rescued from child trafficking and a friendship was formed for life.
- (September 2016) Children in India of our contact person R. were seriously ill. Called sponsors for help and medication. Thanks to generous donors, Project Held was able to transfer € 3,500 to help the children and allow them to go to the doctor, which prevented worse.
- (October 2016) Worship evening held with Paulina Zoetebier and band, the proceeds of which are for the furniture of the girls' house in Mozambique of Corrie Ockhuyzen. Yield: 2800,-
- (October 2016) Mission Possible Europe finally brought in 80 new sponsors for Project Held! These 80 children can now go to school, have shelter and a safe home!
- (November 2016): Support staff. Viviane van der Bijl has joined the team for 8 hours a week. Conclusion:
Among other things, thanks to the foundation that was laid in 2015 with new board, printing and website, Project Held has grown with 48 children more sponsored than in 2015. There are also dozens of children who have reached the age and situation to stand on their own and do not fall more under the wings of Project Held and thanks to the years of support now have a hopeful future and have accepted Jesus in their lives. We are grateful that we have been able to grow considerably and are committed to helping and supporting even more children with a hopeful future!
