Due to a lack of hygiene, knowledge and the appalling conditions in which some people live in India, degrading diseases of limbs can arise. These limit the daily life of these people to such an extent that they are no longer able to function in daily life.
Ultimately, it brings these people to a total dependence on other people. The only way to survive is to beg and roam the streets for their food. All this causes them to get wounds and actually only sink further into the misery they are in.
From Project Held we want to help these people with what is within our ability. That is why we have made it possible on our webshop to give a special bicycle as a gift to make life more bearable for these people.
We are grateful to see that people have already stood on the breach and have given these people a bicycle as a gift. This really makes a world of difference for these people because they no longer have to crawl on the ground to drag themselves but can use their bicycle as a means of transport and storage.
