Susana and Mary Mawi

Although their lives began with adversity, there is still hope for Susana and Mary. With love and support, their future can be one of opportunity instead of struggle.

Susana Mawi and Mary Mawi are twin sisters, born on January 5, 2025. Their lives began under difficult circumstances. Their mother struggled with drug addiction and, shortly after their birth, left the twins with their grandmother and disappeared. Their grandmother suffered from heart problems, making it difficult to care for the babies. The girls' father worked as a bricklayer, performing heavy physical labor daily to provide food and basic necessities for his parents and his two daughters.

One day, the grandparents made a desperate and tragic decision. They sold the twins for about €50. It is painful that this decision had to be made, placing the girls in the hands of strangers.

When the Win Children Home team heard what had happened, it broke their hearts. They went in search of the girls and intervened. The twin sisters now live safely at the children's home, where they receive the care and support they need.

Without help, they were at great risk, but now they are protected and receive the care they deserve. Thanks to sponsorship, they can grow up with hope and the prospect of a better future. (as you will understand, the support for these twins is twice the sponsorship contribution).
