Project Held took care of more than 525 children in 2017. A turbulent year in which we are very happy with our loyal sponsors. Grateful that they see the value of supporting a sponsored child. Sponsoring a child involves much more than just a financial contribution. It gives a child value because he can go to school and also thanks to the sponsorship, belongs to a family instead of living on the street. In addition, it is not unimportant that they are taught the gospel and experience the love of their heavenly father!

Contact with sponsor confirms who they are and prayers are made for the child. In addition, the sponsors are involved in the activities of the home where their sponsor child lives.

2017 was a year of recovery. The previous years were years of stability and building up to growth. As a follow-up to that, 2017 was mainly a year of preparation for what is to come. Focus and see what is in demand.

One of the things that appears to be needed is more contact with and closer involvement with the project/home and sponsor child. We have carefully taken steps to develop more project trips so that we can also help and support locally and offer the opportunity to visit a sponsored child. The preparations for India and Kosovo trip were fully covered in 2017. In addition, preparation for the development of new brochures and design, all of this in English, of course. However, these steps will be realized in 2018.

Completed projects within Projecten Held 2017:

  • Throughout the year, two conferences have been held from the home church of House of Heroes. Presence and Power and Love. During these conferences, Project Held has a stand and called for sponsors to sponsor a child. In addition, extra PR has been given to this, which has resulted in dozens of sponsors.
  • Project Held has brought an action among the sponsors and held conferences for children in India whose parents do not have the money to buy the books for school. Rajkumar Ganta gives thousands of children free books every year so that these children can still go to school and thus break out of poverty because they receive an education and then better find a job. Conclusion:
  • Among other things, thanks to the foundation laid in 2015 and 2016 with new board, printing and website, Project Held has increased in sponsored children and we have been able to refute the focus according to need and demand. Such as Mission trips, newsletters and more involvement of sponsor child.
  • Daarnaast hebben we onze contactpersoon in India R. € 2500,00 kunnen geven om kinderen in India onderwijs te bieden door in het school materiaal te voorzien.
  • Dozens of children successfully graduated and found a job so that sponsoring was no longer necessary and thanks to the preparations we will be closer to sponsors in 2018
