PROJECT IN Thailand

Baan Zion ZCCT

What does a day look like:

The kids get up at 5:30 AM. They take a shower, get breakfast and get ready for school. The school is from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. After school, the children take a shower and there is time to play outside with the other children or play games, the older children do their homework. Then they get hot food and there is time for a story or watching a movie. At 19:00 they go to bed. There are communal activities on weekends.

Project information:

The ZCCT Foundation was founded in 2002 in Thailand. Hundreds of children in this country are innocently imprisoned because they were “there” when their mother was arrested. These children mainly come from the Thai population who live in the mountains. However, this population is not seen as Thai and according to the law they have no status and therefore no identity. It is a poor people and the woman is often used to smuggle opium, for example, she does this to have some financial security. When she is arrested, she ends up unceremoniously in prison, sometimes her child is there or her child is left behind in the mountain village. The foundation has started a day center for children who are innocent in prison. However, this has grown into a shelter in Chiangrai where the children live internally. Your support contributes to housing, food, clothing and school costs so that the children can develop into responsible, independent individuals who can make a positive contribution to their living environment.

Baan Zion also supports children who have been left behind in the villages with relatives or relatives. Since the family is financially and emotionally unable to care for these children, Baan Zion contributes through sponsorship. Your support ensures that your sponsored child can go to school, has enough food and can build her future.

School desk
Hope4hope, one of our projects in Kenya, miraculously has a school building at its disposal. Children from the neighborhood who cannot go to school can still receive education! In addition to the building, they obviously need much more to start the school. https://youtu.be/vyvjJr0Yhcw?si=ARdX8FtGLPtxnSTn

Soccer shoes
A poor family in Africa often does not have enough money to send their child(ren) to school. Therefore, they will soon "force" their daughters to marry early so that they are taken care of. For these young women there is no chance to learn and build on their qualities and gifts. Hope4hope in Kenya has decided to include these young women in the football trajectory. In this way they can build on their qualities and limits and also look up and indicate these. In this way they make themselves more resilient and they are stronger in society. There is such great enthusiasm that unfortunately there is always a shortage of football boots, balls and clothing. Especially the shoes wear out quickly and playing football barefoot causes the necessary injuries. These girls are very happy with their own pair of shoes! It gives them the chance to fight, train and get stronger in the game. you see the girls liven up day by day. Sometimes they are on the field before dawn and can't wait to get started. Will you help with a new set of football boots? You have no idea how grateful they are to you!
