What does a day look like:
The children get up around 6 a.m. After the morning ritual such as washing themselves and eating breakfast, the children go to school. After school they play with the other children in the home. They also help in and around the house with small chores.
Project information:
The project in Mozambique that your sponsor child is part of is Pastor Fernando and his wife Amalia's Nova Vida project. Together they have a growing congregation in Maluana, about 30 kilometers outside Maputo, the capital. It is an area where the people fought and suffered a lot during the civil war. they have started an evangelical congregation, which now employs more than two hundred people. Besides their work as pastors, they also have the vision to bop (orphan) children. In Bobole where they themselves live, they have taken a number of children into their home. In Maluana where the congregation is, a number of children also live in a house that was recently built. This vision of taking in children with the people of the congregation or with the pastor of the congregation fits perfectly with the work of Iris Ministries, which was founded and is led by Roland and Heidi baker.
Your support provides your sponsored child with food, school and learning materials, housing and medical care so that the children have a great future prospect and they can begin to realize their dream.
