Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver..– 2 Corinthians 9:7
Dear reader,

As we enter the new year, this newsletter shows why your support is so important. Thanks to your involvement, children not only receive shelter and help, but also the chance to realize their dreams and make a difference in their community. Let’s continue to work together towards a future where every child can thrive!

Christmas party with the children

It's been a while, but Christmas has also been celebrated extensively by all the children within our projects.

We would like to thank everyone who has donated! See here an impression of the delicious meal and the gifts for the children in Machava, Mozambique.

Children's camp in Kenya

In December, a team went to Kenya to attend a children's camp together with children from our project. About 300 children, including children from the surrounding villages, were given the opportunity to participate.
The camp lasted 5 days, it was a fantastic time in which the children could really be a child for a while through sports, games, music and education. Project Held has been able to buy and install beautiful playground equipment for all the children in the area. It has been an unforgettable time!

Beloved team member passed away in Kosovo

On Wednesday, January 22nd, the beloved team member of the De Brug International Foundation wherewith whom we work closely, Dija Mustafa, was taken home by her Heavenly Father at the age of 65 after a long battle with cancer.

Dija's life was all about looking after the people in need. She was responsible for the elderly project. From Project Held we also support a number of these elderly people. Thank you for your love for these elderly, dear Dija.

Project Held on Mission Trip to India

From 19th-28th February, a team from Project Held will go to India. We will visit the various children's homes that we support. In addition, we will distribute food packages in the slums and distribute blankets to the widows. Many of the children we support have now grown into beautiful young adults. Due to the caste system in India, it is not always possible to study. We had a meeting with our contact person about how we can help our 'older' children so that they can provide for themselves.
From these conversations it emerged that it would be a good idea to set up tea houses in which four of our young people can work. During this trip we will investigate this further and we will write a project with the aim of raising funds for this. We are very much looking forward to getting started with this and helping the young people on their way to independence. Are you as enthusiastic about this as we are and would you like to support this work in India financially? Then donate here or send an email to [email protected]

Make a Difference with the NOFAM App!

Did you know that with the NOFAM app you can not only send and receive messages, but you can do so much more? In every newsletter we highlight a special function, so that you can make optimal use of everything the app has to offer!

This time we want to point out a great opportunity: sharing children without a sponsor with neighbors, friends, colleagues or via social media. In this way, as a little ambassador you can help to ensure that all children within the project – of which your sponsored child is a part – find a sponsor.
See here how to do that!

As an example share Tulsi Nath

Tulsi wants to become an IAS officer. Tulsi is a bright young girl from the Nath Mohalla slum. Her parents, who struggle to make ends meet as daily wage earners, often face days without work, leaving the family in dire straits.

Sometimes, their hardships force them to send their children to beg to survive. Due to their low income, they …

In addition to financial support, you also offer them a connection to the world, in which they get a glimpse into our lives here in Europe and we can learn from colorful Africa or special Asia.

With a small contribution, we can make a big impact together! We are one of the few projects that offers this possibility, so let the world hear about it!
If you have any questions or would like to contact us in any other way, we are at your disposal! We are happy to help you.
