So don't hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.

The difference you make as a sponsor is very special! The children are touched in their identity and it gives them a form of self-esteem. In addition to sponsoring, there are teams that visit the projects at their own expense and time. The children love visitors and it gives them the opportunity to start a conversation and get to know each other's culture better. The impact is very special for the project, management and children. We do not want to withhold this from you and that is why we regularly write a report of these trips.

‘’Love in action’’ in Uganda
In September we were able to visit two of our children's homes in Uganda. We have been supporting the children's home in Entebbe, "Foodstep" for a number of months now. We were able to do a lot during our trip. We spent a lot of time with the children and the staff, nice to get to know them better and to taste their hearts for all those very beautiful children. Every child has a traumatic story, we regularly had to swallow when hearing all the atrocities these children went through. We were able to treat all the children to a delicious festive meal and we handed out gifts. We were able to give a bicycle to a boy who could not go to school because he did not have a bicycle.

One of the boys who came in as a small child has grown into a beautiful young man who has specialized in designing and sewing beautiful clothes, he is now a real role model for the other children. We were able to give him a nice new sewing machine.

We also visited the children's home of Iris Ministries, where we were allowed to speak during the service on Sunday morning. We were able to give a 1000 liter water tank to a women's shelter in the village, where women live with their children who have experienced extreme violence. These women had to walk a long way every day to fetch water, but are often so traumatized that this was quite a task for them. Thanks to this water tank, they no longer have to walk far, but they can get water directly from the site of the shelter. All in all, a very fruitful journey with the goal, ''love in action''. Your gifts make the difference
As you know we have a nice Online store on our website where you can buy items for our projects. In this way we were able to give money to Hope4Hope in Kenya, a children's home that we support through Project Held. With this gift they were able to buy tools with which the young people in the project are taught the trade of furniture and decoration. They also make clocks in a special way as decoration. So that time is like a piece of art on the wall. As you can see they make beautiful things that they can then sell again. We are very happy with this development and want to support it strongly.

Hair Salon in Mozambique
The children's home is located in Mozambique, which is led by the Dutch Corrie Ockhuysen. She has helped many children towards a better future. So is Vusi, a boy who ended up in the orphanage a long time ago. He has now grown into a young independent man who has started his own hair salon on the grounds of the children's home since this month. We are extremely proud of this champ who now has his own company and works professionally. He is a great example for all the children there and also involves them in his company. He would like to expand his hair salon with manicure, as soon as he has the finances for this. It's great when someone is chasing their dreams!

Once again a newsletter with special and beautiful stories in which the impact we make together is splashing. Don't forget that you are helping to build the future of so many children and young people who otherwise would hardly have had a chance. Together we make a different!

Have a blessed weekend on behalf of the Project Held team.
