Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing.” prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Then he said to them, "Go, eat rich foods and drink sweet drinks, and share them with people who haven't prepared anything. Today is holy to our Lord. Don't be sad, because the joy of the Lord is your strength."

A lot is happening in the world right now… First the sad war in Ukraine and then suddenly there is that devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. How powerless can you feel. Yet it is nice to see that many have converted that powerlessness into actions to help as many people as possible. It sometimes feels like a drop in the ocean, but many drops really make the difference!

On an excursion in Myanmar
The coup in Myanmar is ongoing. Fortunately, the children at our children's home are doing well. They still feel the threat, and violence is close by. A group of terrorists recently burned several school buses belonging to students, 50 km from the children's home. To forget the tension, the children were taken on an excursion. A bus was rented, and all the children were taken to a beautiful national park where they played fun games together and enjoyed a delicious lunch. It was a day filled with laughter, and their worries faded into the background for a while. The children thank all of their sponsors, as this outing was made possible because of them.

Concern about the cost of high school
We have heard from various contacts within our projects that school costs have risen considerably. This is also the case in Kenya at Hope4Hope, where we support a large number of children. Many children have just completed primary school and are eager to move on to secondary education. The problem is that the costs are very high. At the moment, there are 10 children who can go to secondary education, but unfortunately, there is no money available for this. Each child needs €300 to go to school. If you have the opportunity to help one of these children go to school, you can make a donation via the link below or the article.

Due to Covid-19, war, and economic fluctuations, school costs have skyrocketed in parts of Africa. Many families cannot afford this increase. As a result, children do not receive an education and may end up involved in crime. Education offers the chance to escape poverty, work on your future, and give children hope.

It will also be difficult for our projects to get all the children to school. Despite the sponsorship, the school costs and the supplies they have to provide themselves have become so very expensive. In addition, food and other coSTs read more...
