Together for tomorrow!
We want you to be the first to know about a great event!
In addition to child sponsorship, we also assist our projects where there is a need. Many of our projects indicate that the costs of education, such as for primary school, secondary school, and university, have risen enormously in recent years. Our wish, and likely yours as well, is that we want to complete the sponsorship process successfully by enabling these children to finish what they started, so they can obtain a diploma and secure a good job.

What are we going to do?
In collaboration with the Nofam Foundation (a foundation that helps us with the app and also supports children in developing countries), we have come up with the following:
Worldwide, millions of people participate in sports activities and are often looking for a unique place to practice their sport. We have primarily focused on hikers and MTB cyclists and have mapped out a route that is on many people's bucket lists. In addition to this great experience for the participants, we ask if they want to be sponsored, hold an event, or raise money in another way where every euro contributes to a student's education!
You might be sporty yourself, or perhaps you know someone who is and is passionate about our projects. In that case, we'd like to challenge you to organize an event for our projects (and therefore for these students) or perhaps sponsor someone, so that we can help many students.
How does it work:
Through our joint website (Nofam and Project Held) www.samenvoormorgen.nl You can sign up for one of the two active trips. Hiking in the Himalayas or Biking in Uganda.
Additionally, we ask every participant to bring β¬1500 in sponsorship money, which can make a big difference for our students and contribute to their diplomas! At the information day, we will provide tips on how to obtain this, among other things. Of course, during the sport challenge, we will visit one of our projects, and you will learn about the country's culture, customs, and challenges.

The Biketrail is an organized mountain biking tour in Uganda. It offers an adventurous and immersive way to explore the diverse landscapes, culture, and communities of Uganda, often focusing on off-the-beaten-path routes.
Here's a general overview of what the Biketrail Uganda typically involves:
**Key Features:**
* **Mountain Biking:** The core activity is cycling on various terrains, including dirt tracks, forest trails, village paths, and sometimes even more challenging singletrack.
* **Exploration of Uganda:** Tours are designed to showcase the beauty and local life of Uganda, going beyond the typical tourist attractions. This can include:
* **Rural Villages:** Interaction with local communities, experiencing their way of life, and learning about their customs.
* **Natural Landscapes:** Riding through lush vegetation, rolling hills, tea plantations, coffee farms, and sometimes near lakes or rivers.
* **Wildlife Encounters:** Depending on the route, there might be opportunities to see local wildlife in their natural habitats.
* **Cultural Immersion:** Participants often have opportunities to engage with local people, visit markets, and understand Ugandan culture firsthand.
* **Support and Logistics:** Biketrail typically organizes all necessary logistics, including:
* **Accommodation:** Usually a mix of guesthouses, lodges, or homestays, offering an authentic experience.
* **Meals:** Providing local cuisine.
* **Transportation:** Transfers to and from the start/end points, and possibly support vehicles along the route.
* **Bike Rental:** Often the option to rent well-maintained mountain bikes suitable for the terrain.
* **Guides:** Experienced guides knowledgeable about the routes, local culture, and safety.
* **Duration and Itinerary:** Tours can vary in length, from a few days to several weeks, with itineraries designed to offer a comprehensive experience. Different routes might focus on specific regions or themes within Uganda.
* **Fitness Level:** While not requiring professional athletic ability, a good level of fitness is generally recommended, as daily rides can be physically demanding, covering significant distances and elevation changes.
**What to Expect:**
* **Adventure:** It's an adventure tour, so expect challenges, unpredictable moments, and rich experiences.
* **Scenery:** Uganda is known as the "Pearl of Africa" for its stunning natural beauty, and the Biketrail aims to highlight this.
* **Authenticity:** The focus is often on authentic interactions and experiencing Uganda as it truly is.
* **Community Engagement:** Opportunities to connect with local people are a significant part of the experience.
**If you are considering the Biketrail Uganda, it's advisable to:**
* **Check specific tour operators:** There might be different companies or organizations offering variations of the Biketrail. Research their specific itineraries, inclusions, pricing, and reviews.
* **Understand the difficulty:** Assess your fitness level and what kind of riding experience you're looking for.
* **Pack appropriately:** Bring suitable cycling gear, clothing for varied weather, and personal items.
The Biketrail Uganda is a fantastic way for adventurous travelers to discover the heart of Africa on two wheels.
