With joy, we share a special milestone: over the past years, many children have completed their schooling or even graduated! Your financial support has played a crucial role in this, and we sincerely thank you. Because of your involvement, these young people now have a future full of possibilities. Many of them have already found meaningful places in society.

A remarkable example is a student from one of our children's homes in Uganda. She is studying human rights and has independently secured a prestigious three-month internship at the South Sudanese embassy in Kampala. This is an extraordinary opportunity that highlights her determination and talent!

This story reinforces how God has a beautiful purpose for these children. Your support makes a significant impact, not just on their education but on their entire life journey.

Building the future together
|
In Uganda, around 20 students have successfully graduated over the past few years. In Mozambique, several young people have also completed their studies, some are currently finishing their final internships and are close to receiving their diplomas.
|
In addition, in various other countries, children who have grown up in a home or center have completed that chapter of their lives and have now found their place in society: they have found employment, are involved in local projects, or have gotten married and are starting an independent life.
|

|
This is what we do it for.
We are truly proud of these young people, and of the projects that have made this possible. But our mission is not yet complete. There are still children who dream of a chance at education, independence, and a hopeful future.

Food Packages for People with Leprosy in India
|
|
|
In February, we traveled to India with a team and distribute food packages. It was deeply moving to witness the great need. Therefore, Project Held has committed to supporting at least 50 people with leprosy in a leprosy colony by providing them with monthly food packages.
|
Since April, our local contact has started distributing the packages, and we are incredibly grateful to be able to do this. But we want to go even further, our goal is to provide food packages to 100 people every month. Would you like to contribute and donate a monthly amount?

Two Donated Water Wells, Clean Water for Communities in Need
|
|
We are thrilled to share that, last month, Project Held was able to donate two water wells, one in India and one in Mozambique. These wells have provided an entire village with clean drinking water and in Mozambique a centre for 18+ youth.
|
|
Access to safe water is essential and has a tremendous impact on the health and well-being of these communities. This is a concrete step toward a better future, and we are grateful that we could make this happen thanks to your support.

Hilda’s Path to Recovery
|
|
Some of the children's stories are heartbreaking. Hilda was thrown into a latrine by her mother immediately after birth. The following morning, people in the neighborhood heard the cries of a baby coming from the pit. In a tragic attempt to understand what was happening, they threw fire into the pit, severely burning Hilda’s head and legs.
|
|
|
|
She was rescued by the police, who later called for Foodstep’s intervention.
Hilda still needs medical assistance. Her scars, especially on her left leg, affect her mobility and require surgery. Despite everything, she has started school, but daily commuting remains challenging.
|
This month, thanks to the generosity of her sponsor and among others: Hilda underwent surgery, an important step toward her recovery. Your support makes a world of difference in her life and in the lives of many others.
