Newsletter Project Held July 2020
Through this newsletter we keep you informed of the latest news of our projects.
A newsletter full of videos

In this newsletter we highlight some of our projects. Pictures often say more than words so we will show you some videos.

Guided tour of the children's village in Kenya

In Mombasa we support a children's village called Hope4Hope, they too have had some tough months due to Corona. We received a beautiful video of the project in which the children want to thank you as a sponsor and donor for the donations of the past period. A wall has now been built around the children's village, which makes it a lot safer. The children show you around the children's village, they are very proud of their beautiful spot! Watch and enjoy!

Update Uganda Iris Ministries

As we wrote earlier, Carolyn (she runs the children's home in Luwero) left for the USA at the beginning of March to speak for several weeks in various churches in her home country. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus, she was no longer able to return to the children's home in Uganda. To this day, she is stuck in the USA, unwillingly. In the following video she gives an update about the situation she is in and the situation of the children in Uganda.

Sadness and joy in Kosovo

As you know, we regularly go to Kosovo to support the widows and orphans together with the De Brug Foundation. For example, we regularly visited an older couple. Two years ago they both came to faith during a visit from our team from the Netherlands. Last year, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and unfortunately died of it. His wife was inconsolable and we were asked by the Kosovo team if we could buy a gravestone for her deceased husband. She was deeply sad because she had no money to buy this. We then decided to make a donation so that she could buy a beautiful gravestone for her husband, despite her great grief, this made her very happy and grateful.

Answer of prayer Myanmar

We received a prayer request from the children's home in Myanmar about a wish to purchase a gas stove. To this day, cooking is done on wood. Every day the children have to do heavy physical work by cutting wood into pieces with a handsaw. (video) Last month we received a beautiful gift for Myanmar, which will be used to purchase a gas stove. Last week we told the good news, both the children and the management were very happy with this news!

(May we introduce you to Angela, she lives in the project in Myanmar and would be very happy with a sponsor.)

Esther Home Kenya in the news

In Kenya we support a home where teenage mothers are cared for with their babies. Last year we went there with a team from Project Held and this project made a deep impression on all of us. The teenage mothers who are cared for are sometimes only 14 years old, often they got pregnant by rape and were rejected by their family. On this project, these girls are lovingly cared for, counseled and supervised until delivery. Even after giving birth, they are taught how to take care of their baby. A television channel in Kenya has made a short item of this. See here the broadcast.

(May we introduce you to Josephine, she lives in the project in Kenya and would be very happy with a sponsor.)

Josephine Nekesa

Josephine’s mother died when Josephine was young. The father has remarried and Josephine was raised by her stepmother. Josephine was sexually abused by a family member from which Josephine became pregnant. Her father and stepmother forced her to abortion because of shame on the family. Read more

Despite the hard time the whole world has been in and is still in, we see God's hand on these projects. We also received beautiful gifts in the past period, which enabled us to bless the projects enormously.
Thank you very much for your involvement, we wish you a beautiful and blessed holiday!
