Born in Peja at a safe house, Benjamin came into the world in circumstances no child should have to face. His mother, fleeing physical and verbal abuse from her husband, found shelter just in time to bring him into a safer environment. Unfortunately, during this difficult time, custody of Benjamin's older brother was awarded to their grandmother because his mother could not obtain stable housing.
\nToday, Benjamin is a lively, loving boy who lights up every room he enters. The family has great financial problems. Mother takes care of Benjamin but is unable to earn money as a result. In addition, Benjamin's mother has mental symptoms, PTSD, due to the trauma.<\/p>\n
