As you may have heard on the news there was a coup in Myanmar. The army has taken over the government and has arrested several government leaders. Journalists are also currently being arrested.
We contacted pastor Philip Thang, he oversees the children's home in Myanmar where the children who are supported by Project Held live. He told us that it has become dark almost all over the country. The electricity, internet and telephone are cut off, banks are closed, food prices have doubled and almost all shops are empty.
The question from Pastor Philip is whether we want to pray for the situation. God is the HOPE for Myanmar, a nation so full of revival and promise. Let's join hands and pray God's light and power over Myanmar. And of course also specifically for ''our'' sponsor children.
If you want to do something practical in addition to prayer, you can do so by transferring a gift to the children's home so that they can at least continue to buy food. Because of corona, all children are in the home, they receive home education and they are hardly allowed to leave the house. Now that this is added, with all the extra costs and uncertainty, we want to encourage them, will you help?
