Project Held will soon be independent.
Project Held has been a part of the House of Heroes denomination for a number of years. After years of experience and collaboration with various organizations and the church, the time has come to reach a wider audience and work with multiple churches.
We are currently working diligently to establish ourselves as an independent foundation with our own board and ANBI status (Public Benefit Organization). For you as a sponsor, nothing will change for the time being. Until we have our own foundation, the ANBI will continue as usual, and we will maintain the same account number you are accustomed to. We will keep you updated on our progress through our newsletters.
At the moment, we support over 550 children through Project Held. We are very grateful here and hope to be able to continue this together with you and give all these children and more a hopeful future. If you have any questions, please send an email to [email protected]

Held@Home active on Liberation Day
On May 5th, we celebrate our freedom in the Netherlands! Last May 5th, it was a double day of liberation for the residents of the nursing home in Grootebroek. For the first time since December, residents were allowed to leave their apartments and, for the first time in months, enjoy a meal together in the communal area. You can imagine the joy that filled the residents. We at Project Held wanted to spoil everyone extra by handing out a delicious Dutch orange cake. The residents couldn't have been happier and were very grateful for all the attention. All in all, a very successful day!

Update Hypolito from Mozambique
In our last newsletter, we wrote about the situation of Hypolitho, a 23-year-old boy from Mozambique who spent years in Corrie's children's home. He had a violent past and at that time was in critical condition in the hospital. His foot/lower leg was scheduled for amputation that week. Ultimately, this did not happen because he was too weak to undergo surgery. The doctors are unsure of the best course of treatment, so the approach is constantly changing.
Corrie is present at all interviews and has seen many doctors with very contradictory treatment plans. Hypolito is now out of the hospital and on antibiotics. He recently received crutches, which help him to walk. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and an unambiguous treatment plan.

Every month, a team from YWAM comes to the children's home to organize a birthday party for all the children who have had birthdays. It's complete with cake, balloons, music, and gifts. You'll understand that this is always a special, festive moment for the children!
Corrie and her team also managed to get all the children to school. A considerable challenge every year. The children attend 7 different schools, all with different schedules. There is a lot of driving with the already aging van.

As you may have seen in the news, India has been hit hard by COVID-19. Meanwhile, the U.S. government, as well as Germany, France, Great Britain, and the European Union, have sent massive aid, such as vaccines, respirators, medicines, protective clothing, and corona tests. .

In addition to all this, the news reached us that at present many Hindu Indians are converting to Christianity. See below the special movie from CBN
