Harriet's parents are divorced. Harriet is the oldest of the five children. One day when the mother went to get bread for the family and Harriet was home alone, an unknown guest came in and had a question about someone from the neighborhood. When he discovered that she was home alone, he took advantage of the situation and raped her, after which Harriet became pregnant. Harriet's mother has a very small income and is unable to have the baby in the small house. An aunt explained Harriet's situation at Esther Home, after which Harriet was admitted to the house. Harriet has given birth to a daughter and returns to school. When she comes out of school she takes care of her daughter and helps with the household. Later she would like to become a surgeon. She loves to play hockey.
Unfortunately it often happens in Kenya that teenage girls are raped by men from the village or family. When the girls get pregnant, this is a shame for the family and they are rejected.

We deliberately do not have a CBF quality mark. However, we do meet a number of important conditions of this quality mark. One of the reasons that we do not have this quality mark is the costs that are charged for this; this would significantly increase our overhead costs. We prefer to spend this money on the projects we support.
